I was interested in the mythical figure Icarus, who made his own wings of wax, then flew too close to the sun causing them to melt. Seems an apt metaphor for our reliance on technology.
This guy was also intended to used for stop-frame animation, but I could never muster the patience.
Materials:
Wood tables and chairs, aluminum wire.
