Applied Kinetic Arts exhibiting at Maker Faire
Applied Kinetic Arts exhibiting at Maker Faire
Well Its time again, and this year CTP and I have arranged an even bigger Applied Kinetic Arts exhibition at Maker Faire. We have a larger area to work with and more art to share. I’ll be bringing my new sculpture: Under the Sea, as well as Bake-O-Lite and Boogeyman.
Reuben Margolin has built a piece specifically for Maker Faire consisting of over 700 20 liter soda bottles. Alan Rorie’s Neuron Chamber is not to missed, nor is any of the other work by: CTP, Mark Galt, Benjamin Cowden, Greg Brotherton, Kal Spelletich, Carl Pisaturo, and Jonathan Foote.
The Faire is May 30 (10am to 8pm), and 31 (10am to 6pm) at the San Mateo Fairgrounds.
Our booth will be located in the Expo Hall in the space marked with the yellow box in the map below. If you haven’t been to Maker Faire before, check out their website for more info and get yourself interested. It is a really entertaining weekend, not to be missed.

For those unfamiliar with our group, here is the official line:
Applied Kinetic Arts (A.K.A) is a collective of artists working within the medium loosely defined as “kinetic”. Works incorporating motion, light, sound, and interactivity are represented by the group’s ever expanding member base. A.K.A. Was Founded in 2007 by artists Christopher T. Palmer and Nemo Gould with the intention of raising public awareness of this art form, and providing a support
network for its members, and others working within the genre.
