Maker Faire: May 3-4
Maker Faire: May 3-4
It is a little shocking to me that it has been a year since the last Maker Faire, but here we are. The awesome event is this coming weekend, May 3rd (10:00am to 10:00pm, most exhibits close at 6pm)and May 4th (11:00am to 6:00pm), at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. Rest assured that if you have ever been interested in anything at all in your life, you will find something worthy of your attention there. The Faire features displays, exhibits, demonstrations, performances etc. from a dizzying array of creative and tech savvy types. I will be sharing a booth space with my good friend and Fairy Tech Father: CTP, as well as with the eerily clever Reuben Margolin, Jonathan Foote, Alan Rorie, Carl Pisaturo and we suspect a few others. I will be hauling out my Giant Squid, and this will be the first venue for my Quicksilver scooter. You can find us at booth #207 in Expo Hall, which I have marked with a big ugly “X” on the map below. It is the large building at the bottom of the page. Tickets for adults are $25, students $15, youth (4-12) $10, and children (under 3) are free. There are also a number of links on my “press” page to video interviews and press coverage of last years event.

Below are a few images from last year. Bear in mind that there is much more to see on the grounds outside and several buildings full of exhibitors.
