Brass Goggles-  So everybody keeps saying that my work is “steampunk”.  I think that’s a silly word, but this site compiles a lot of the wonderful work that falls under this umbrella, decide for yourself.

Chela Fielding- My old friend and co-worker Chela has just posted her very interesting work from found materials.

Serge Jupin-  It looks like I may have a long lost twin in France.  Check out his prolific gallery of wonderful robots made from very similar parts as my own.

The worlds strangest vehicles-  In my research for my scooter project I came across many interesting images, but this page had the most entertaining variety in one place that I could find.

Jeff De Boer-  I just love this.  Meticulously crafted suits of armor for cats and mice, beautiful ray guns, a helmet for a dodo bird, and thats just to get you started.  Check him out.

Michael Pflueger-  A recent discovery on the mechanical sculpture front.  Nice work.

Temples of Damanhur- Wow....secret underground network of “outsider-art” temples in Italy.  This consumed a whole evening for me.

Kineticworld.com-  A great source for kinetic art, thank you CTP!

Kineticus.com-  A good database site for kinetic artists from around the world.

Les Machines de L’Ile- Only the single most humbling outfit out there.  Totally mind blowing huge mechanical animals.  Naturally I’m most fond of their squid.


Michael Ulman- Cool machines made from all sorts of materials.  Some functioning, some not.  I really can’t decide which I like more.


Edouard Martinet- Animal sculpture from scrap metal.  I like his insects the best.


Sophie Naylor- cool, classic automata.


Dylan Kehde Roelofs- Beautiful blown glass incandescent sculpture


Sam Deal- Nice mixed media kinetic work from down under.


Eat PES- I’ve always felt that stop motion animation and kinetic sculpture have a lot in common, check out a stellar example of the former.

Kyle Fokken-  A recent discovery.  Cool machine oriented sculpture with many found object elements.


R.L. Croft.- Another artist will a healthy love for aluminum objects (among other things).
